Every one who owns a home or rents an apartment has had to face the dilemma of deciding where to place a piece of furniture, where to hang a work of art, what colors
to decorate with, where to put those lamps and on and on. Whether you're in the redesign business, a full service interior designer or just someone who wants to work out your
ideas on paper, help is here. Many people feel "artistically challenged", especially when it comes to duplicating something 3-dimensional, where you have to have an understanding
of vanishing points and how they affect dimensional drawing.
Worry no more! We've got that covered too. Now there is a simple way to make your plans and ideas look spectacular and professional and literally "see" if the ideas will
work or not. Developed by a professional interior designer for other designers, this system has won an ADEX award for design excellence.
The system, made up of a collection of hand-drawn, illustrated decals of
furniture pieces, room accessories, wall covering & floor coverings of just
about any style, are included in this truly unique product. The decals (also
reversible), along with a “grid board” (with a scale of ½” = 1’) and three
transparent “overlays” are the keys to creating room designs that are quick to
conceive and 3-dimensional. To make it even more practical, furniture pieces are drawn in front views, back views and on a 45-degree angle.
The system takes you from concept to an actual
finished rendering that you can then photo copy (even enlarge!) and color to
your specifications.
You're guaranteed to have a blast using this system. You'll almost feel as if you were a small child again, playing with paper dolls, only with much more
success and practicality. Even a 12 year old did it…it’s that easy!
I was able to
come up with a variety of designs and play with various furniture &
accessory placement without straining my back with actually moving furniture -
if you have any physical problems that make moving furniture difficult, as I do,
I have received an even extra benefit.
The basic system includes 1600 illustrated decals, 1 grid
board and the custom 3 ring binder (which conveniently holds all the decals,
table of contents for you to find the pieces you are looking for quickly and
instructions on how to effectively use the system). When you consider the number of decals and the time and skill it takes to create a product like this,
you'll be blown away.
In a nutshell, here's how you can use it. Start with your basic idea for a room arrangement. Using the elevations planner, you pick and choose which decals
most represent your idea, choosing from wallpaper, window treatments, furniture, flooring, area rugs and so forth. Using the grid board provided in the same scale
as the decals, you build your room from the back to the front. Since the decals are printed on a clear vinyl decal, you can overlap and still see the artwork on each,
even if the art is on an under decal. When you have the room laid out as you want it, take the grid board to your favourite copy place and make as many copies as
you want. Enlarging the copy makes it easier to delete any unnecessary marks that transfer to the copy because of the cut edges of the decals. You can also
white out imperfections and the numbers that come with each decal to help make it easy to return them to their original locations.
Here you can see where an enlarged photo copy has been made of the project.
Using white out, all imperfections that transferred to the copy were easily eliminated. Keep this as an original. Use this copy to make as many sets as you
want in whatever size you want.
Taking one or more of the copies you have made from the original copy
where you used whiteout, you are now ready to colorize your concept for the client. While you need some talent in transforming the drawing into a "life-like"
color rendition, you have saved yourself hours of toil by not having to draw the idea out. Your proportions, scale and vanishing points have all be done for
you, so your colored drawing will really look professional.
As you can see the finished photograph of the actual room is not
perfectly the same. Don't be concerned. Your only goal is to give the client (or yourself) a visual of the "concept", and it would not be very feasible to
try to draw everything in exacting detail and color. You just want to give someone an idea of what you are conceptualizing for them. Nothing more.
This system has additional components beyond the basic system for those that want more and more options, including the ability to render bathrooms and kitchens.
In that case you would want to consider the Deluxe III + Kitchen & Bath System, which includes a
mind-blowing 5000 illustrated decals plus the Kitchen & Bath decal
supplements (over 1000 illustrated decals & over 900 illustrated decals
respectively). I get exhausted just thinking about how much time it took to
create this.
The Deluxe III + Kitchen & Bath System is for the HARD CORE redesigner/decorator
or the person who wants endless options available at their fingertips!
The practicality and variety available in this type of system is unparalleled, so it's no wonder it is an award winning tool for the design
industry professional.
If you're taking your business in the direction of also offering window coverings or wall treatments, you'll be in
"heaven" because it also includes window treatments as well. It's very time consuming to
create three-dimensional renderings, floor plans and perspective drawings. What a God-send for those people who have little to no artistic talent.
Tools can make or break the
job. The better your visuals are, the more confident and assured your client/prospect will
be in your ideas and concepts. When they are confident you are steering them in the right direction,
they will find it very easy to make a positive decision. Everyone wins!
I've personally never found a system that is this complete and easy to use. You will, as they say, "never pick up a pencil again." The
system includes tools to create:
- architectural elements
- windows
- draperies
- curtains
- blinds
- shutters
- living and dining rooms
- bedrooms
- accessories
- borders
- wallpaper
- rugs and flooring for any room in a house
- nurseries and juvenile bedrooms
The system assists you in creating
three-dimensional, hand-drawn renderings in 1/2-inch scale with perspective. The
drawings are printed onto reusable decals, which allow you to position them as
you so desire onto a grid board with clear overlays. With this system, you will
be able to create professional presentations for each client.
Having an easy, reliable way to quickly create furniture arrangement ideas for yourself or clients opens up a whole new way of providing a unique "by mail" redesign
service. I've helped many clients who are out of my area. I offer local, personalized redesign services, but from time to time someone on the other side of the
continent seeks my help. I direct them in taking the appropriate kinds of measurements I will need, and get them to supply me with good pictures so I can "see" the room and
the challenge, and I get them to submit a written statement of their lifestyle, wishes and dreams for the room.
Part of the process is creating an original floor plan for them, sometimes 2-3. When I send off a professionally designed floor plan using this system, I not only get a
beautiful "work of art", but it cuts down dramatically on my time needed and gives me a whole lot more variety than I've ever had before. When you're being paid a flat rate fee
for services, it's natural to want to get the job done in the least amount of time. So any way I can cut my time involvement down, I'm interested.
The 3-Dimensional Elevations System
interior design and
illustration tool offers up to 4000 individual professional hand drawn
illustrations at 1/2" scale, however we offer only the basic binder of 1600
decals. These black and white drawings have been
beautifully silk-screened onto reusable vinyl decals.
Included in the
drawings are the latest
styles of window coverings, 25 styles of furniture, and a beautiful collection
of Designer accessories.
To Start, simply find the elements you wish to use in
your illustrations, peel them from their pages, and position them on to the
clear overlays of the grid board. You will have created a 3-dimensional interior
design illustration that can be photocopied and colored to use as an interior
design presentation.
You no longer need to worry about changing your designs---just peel off
a drawing and substitute it with another. Now several interior design options
can be presented to your clients quickly and easily.
When finished with your layout, just remove the drawings and return them to their pages in
the binder!
The 3-Dimensional Elevation System
comes
in a customized, 3-Ring binder
that includes 1600 illustrations, depending on the level you choose (this
is the basic set of 1600 illustrations, not the deluxe set of 3000)!
